I am back at Slippery Rock and today was the first day of classes. It's kind of hard getting back into the swing of things after being on break for over a month now, but it's starting to seem normal again.

I'm not dissing on Slippery Rock University at all, it's just that I'm a homebody. In fact, I honestly love this school. I love the campus, I love my classes, it's not too big of a school, but it's not too small either, but I'm kind of a loser and I love being home more. I know I need to grow up and get some independence, but the heart wants what the heart wants.

Honestly, I don't really think it would be nearly as bad if I didn't work at McDonalds. It's just stressful having to put up with classes and then go to work. I'm not much of a people person either so I have no idea why I would even apply to work in food service. It was my last resort. Again, not dissing on McDonald's because I'm sure some people love their jobs there, but it's just not my thing. Of course, college costs a lot of money so I have to make some money somehow. It's just hard feeling like you should've earned more than $7.25 an hour. I'm sure many of you guys have jobs you're not too fond of, let me know some of your bad experiences and we can loathe them together!

Now I would like to lie to you in order to make myself look better and say that I like being home so I can see my family and friends, but I would feel guilty lying to you guys so I'm just going to come out and say that majority of my obsession with being home has to do with the fact that my boyfriend is there. I know that sounds so bad, but if you have ever been in love you should know how psycho it can make a person! My boyfriend and I have been together for two years now so this whole college thing is hard. I come home every other weekend, but I still find myself missing him on a daily basis. I would just like to know who said long distance relationships get easier as time goes on because they LIED! I feel like the longer we're apart the more I want to be together! How have you guys handled long distance relationships? Any advice for me?

I started new classes today and I cut back my hours at McDonald's so I'm hoping this will give me less stress at school. I'm open to hearing anything you guys have to say about your college experiences or advice!
